Seed and spirituality

We all know that a seed, under the right environment grows into a tree. So, it can be said that the seed held all the potential in it for it to grow into the tree. The life that we see in a tree, is therefore the life that was present in the seed, in a latent form. Though the tree and the seed are different in form, the life is the same in both of them. While the tree holds life within all its leaves, branches, tissues and the countless chemical activities, the same life ws held by the seed, but in a much simpler form.

Spiritual quest, some say, is the pursuit to understand the Life behind all everything in the universe. Just like the seed and the tree, all that we call the Universe must have originated from a single source. This, even the physicists agree. They say that there was a Big Bang and the Universe was created. Thus, the universe existed in a latent form in that source, from which all of creation started when the Big Bang occured. Thus, the Life behind all that we see in the Universe existed even before the Big Bang took place. It is obviously easier to understand Life when it is in this form, devoid of all complexities, than to understand it through its manifestation in the Creation.

But, how does one know how things were before the Big Bang? After all, it occured a long long time ago. Spirituality is the travel where mind is the vehicle to reach the state before Big Bang. Spirtuality is therefore the negation of the self, for, the self didn't exist then. It is the process of unlearning all that I have learnt. It is the process of unbecoming. In doing so, I simplify myself completely.

Thus simplification is a must if we must be able to see truth. That means, a change in the way we live our lives. Today, our lives are way too complicated. All complications in our life have the same root. Thought. If only there existed no thought, our lives will be extremely simple. That is why we say the lives of animals is so simple. It does not matter what the nature of thought is. As long as there is thought, there is a complexity. Thus, we need to reach a state of thoughtlessness to become simple. This is not the end in spirtuality, but only a stage in the path towards infinity.
