Krishna
In my 8th standard, a guy called Krishna joined my school. Three years later, and in fact, even today, he remains to be the best of my friends. A person who truly knows me. One with whom I can be anything I want, without having the fear of making the relation sour. I can never forget the numeroud evenings we spent together at a street corner. After school, we would stand at our place and talk about everything under the sun. Sometimes, we have even spent close to hours without talking a word. The number of hours I have been with this Krishna is far more than what I have spent with all my other friends put together. We don't keep in touch regularly. But everytime I get back home, I cannot wait to speak to him.
At IIT, in my first semester, one night, I spent time on the hostel terrace with another freshie, sharing our difficulties as freshies. And till date, this person is one of my best friends in IIT. Again, there is complete freedon I feel with this guy. We often have great discussions together on many subjects. We also have a unique capacity to communicate without saying anything. A great friendship. This guy's name is Krishna.
Two days back, I received a mail from one Krishna whom I have never met. He happens to be my senior in college. He had seen my profile in orkut and had mailed me saying that he liked my attitude. He had gone through this very blog and had liked it. (I am sure you will read this, Krishna) We have now decided to meet sometime.
There was an old man living in our house, whom we called Thatha affectionatley. Thatha had no kids, and therefore we took care of him. Thatha was a great source of inspiration to all of us in our family to be spiritually inclined. We are very thankful to our Master (our Guru), for having sent him to be with us for about 4 years. Today, he is no more. But the memories of Krishna Thatha remain with us.
No one can explain this. Perhaps Lord Krishna can.
