Demonitization - The Fight Against "Black" Hearts

By now, it is no longer a news to anyone that the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi, launched a war of unprecedented scale on Nov 8, 2016. By announcing that banknotes of 500 and 1000 denomination would not be a legal tender starting mid-night of Nov 9, he took a very bold and extremely risky step to cleanse the Indian economy. It was India's biggest war ever against black money, counterfeit currency, and terrorist funding - all of which are a dangerous cancer to the society.

On the surface, this is a fight against all forms of wealth accumulated through illegal ways - tax evasion, bribe and corruption, drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, smuggling etc.. At a deeper level, this is a fight against the falling moral standards in the society that has been overtaken by greed and inhumaneness. The businessman who understates his revenues and overstates his expenses to evade taxes is just a thief who has stolen money from the people. The corrupt constable who takes a bribe to clear the passport verification file from a student has added an additional 'tax' to the latter.
