why should i listen to this song and not any other from MS? put a link also to other songs sung by MS.
decent looking blog dude..
That is indeed a beautiful song..
Interestingly..Datta (Giving) Dayadhvam (Compassion) and Damyata (Self-control) are three qualities prescribed by Prajapati to the Gods, Men and Demons respectively..T.S.Eliot has used this concept from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad in "The Wasteland"..
"Then spoke the thunder
DA
Datta: what have we given?"
"DA
Dayadhvam: I have heard the key
Turn in the door once and turn once only
We think of the key, each in his prison
thinking of the key, each confirms a prison"
"DA
Damyata: The boat responded
Gaily, to the hand expert with sail and oar
The sea was calm, your heart would have responded
Gaily, when invited, beating obedient
To controlling hands"
